After a superb break through year for Daniel around the world, he has been nominated for International Break Through Act at this years Brit Awards.

The nominations were announced last night with the show taking place on February 16th.

Daniel Merriweather has won the award for “Breakthrough Star of the Year” at GQ’s annual Men of the Year awards. This is sure to be one of many awards coming Merriweather’s way this year. Congratulations Danny!

Daniel Merriweather has been nominated for two MTV Europe Music Awards!

This is a great honor for Daniel, because as Bruce Gillmer, Co-Executive Producer & SVP, Talent & Music, MTV Networks International puts it, “The MTV Europe Music Awards prides itself on consistently delivering exceptional live performances by some of the biggest and most exciting musical acts in the world – and this year will be no exception.

THELONDONPAPER HEADLINERS CANCELLED

NI Free Newspapers Limited owner of thelondonpaper and MAMA Festivals have cancelled the 2 night, multi-venue live music event, thelondonpaper HEADLINERS that was scheduled for 16 and 17 September 2009 in central London.

Both parties felt it would be inappropriate to go ahead with the event in light of thelondonpaper's imminent closure.

Five thousand volunteers will each give four hours of their time to their local community in return for a money-can’t-buy ticket to see our very own Daniel Merriweather, Razorlight, David Guetta & Kelly Rowland and Chase & Status, with the headlining act to be announced shortly. The Orange RockCorps gig will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on 25th September 2009.

More than 60 volunteer projects will take place across London, working on a range of issues such as the environment, housing and education.
